Kids Prayer Room

Kid’s Prayer Room Wednesdays from 5:30-6:30

Calling all 5-12 year olds to prayer and worship! At City Central, we believe that kids are capable of so much more than the world gives them credit for. We want to give them an opportunity to learn more about the Lord and how much He loves them. The Kid’s Prayer Room (KPR) is a place where kids are encouraged to worship, pray and to learn more about the amazing God we serve. We are building a foundation for them to build their lives on. A foundation based in Spirit and in Truth as well as having a close friendship with the Lord. KPR is a training ground for kid’s to become more comfortable with praying out loud and with friend’s. We want your kids to be raised in a way that prayer is normal. Praying with their friends is normal!

You might find yourself asking, “What do the kids actually do at the Kid’s Prayer Room?” “Very good question!” would be my response. For us, it is more of a discipleship/prayer meeting sort of thing. We learn about the word…pray from it and study it, and we have worship and prayer times…crazy faith filled prayer times, that is! The Lord is does powerful things through “child like prayers”…SO exciting!

This is a very rough format of what the “hour of power” looks like:

  • 5:30 – 5:45 – Worship time We have our very own worship band which gives kids of all ages who play an instrument or sing, the opportunity to learn what it means to lead others into worship.
  • 5:45-6:30 – This time is filled with various things… – Scripture study…we focus on one piece of scripture each time and we *use that scripture throughout the night for prayer and worship. – Discussion time…the kids get to discuss what they think the scripture is talking about, and what the Lord is saying through it. – Prayer time…We intercede for different countries we are learning about, upcoming events, each other, and whatever else the Lord puts on our hearts to pray. – Teaching…We devote 5 minutes to learning about a new tool to use in prayer or worship, then the night is based on putting that tool into practice.
