Freedom Immersion  //  Discovering Abundant Life

I gave my life to the Lord, and I experienced an initial transformation. I read my Bible, prayed, went to church, and was genuinely dedicated to serving Christ. I had even experienced the consistent power of walking with the Holy Spirit. But as I continued to walk with the Lord, I carried hurts and noticed parts of my personality, such as my lack of confidence or my perfectionism, which I believed were just “the way I was.” Things felt like a routine – dry and lifeless. I served God, but was this really what I signed up for? If He is so great, why was I so bored and empty? Was there more?

Yes, there is more! Jesus promised us abundant life and joy not dependent on any life circumstance. Even though we know the promises of Scripture are true, it is easy to lose focus and become weighed down with cares, defeat, past hurts, hopelessness, and other areas of sin that keep us in bondage. These things steal both our intimacy with Christ and the joy of our salvation. The Freedom Immersion is about becoming more like Jesus and reflecting His love and power to everyone around us. Freedom is not just about changing behavior; it is about transformation-letting God change our very being!

Freedom Immersion is a dynamic four day training course designed to equip and restore the believer in Christ in a hands-on learning environment.  Students will all receive personal prayer ministry from City Central teams.  Almost all of the conference participants that come to Freedom Immersions come because they have been impacted by the transformed life of a close friend or relative!  Consider investing a weekend of your life to begin to live pursuing restoration and an abundant life with Jesus Christ.

Track 2: YEARNING FOR THE HEART OF CHRIST

Freedom Track 2 could easily be re-titled “Brokenness and Humility 101.” The focus of the entire study is a longing to be like Christ and in every way reflect his heart.  We will never do the works Christ did until we have His heart.  Be ready to dig deep into the scripture and your own heart.  This is a very exciting course. Freedom 2 is offered for those that have taken a Foundational Freedom class prior to the week. Some of the topics that will be covered include:
• Contending for the Heart of Jesus
• Confronting Religious Forms
• Seeking Teachability
• Deconstructing Defensiveness and Rebellion
• The Necessity of Unity and Agreement

COST

The cost for Freedom Immersion is $275 which covers tuition for the class, materials, personal ministry sessions, and snacks for our sessions.  There is a $25 early registration and payment discount if received by three weeks prior to the Immersion. Cost does not include airfare, shuttle or rental car, hotel reservations or meals. Please note: there is a 20% cancellation fee.

HOUSING

Home stays are on a first come, first served basis. Priority will be given to those in occupational ministry and/or those who are traveling internationally. Please indicate if you would like to stay in a home on your registration.  This housing is provided free of cost out of the generosity of those in our church community and is dependent on availability.

TRANSPORTATION

We suggest that you arrange for a rental car for your time here in Tacoma. The city does not have very good public transportation and is quite spread out, therefore requiring a vehicle to get around the area. Cars are available to rent directly from the Seattle/Tacoma airport if you are flying in, which is about a 30 minute drive from Tacoma.  If you would like to collaborate with other Immersion Participants to share a rental car, please indicate so on your registration form.
